Please post this job description on the website: POSITION TITLE: Database and Development Administrator Since 1948, Morris Animal Foundation has advanced the science of animal health and improved the lives of animals through innovation, education, and inspiration. The Database and Development Administrator is responsible for implementing daily operations in Raisers Edge, as well as core initiatives for the entire development team. This position will work on database administration and the acknowledgement process for 20 hours per week; the additional 20 hours will work closely supporting annual giving, organizational giving, and major planned giving teams. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Using established quality control steps, accurately process daily gift batches in a timely manner in adherence to the Foundation’s 48-hour turnaround receipting/acknowledgment policy. • Perform the tasks necessary for printing and mailing all acknowledgement letters for both online and offline gifts. • Assist the development team with mailings and other administrative tasks including preparing requested and anticipated cultivation and stewardship materials. • Maintain accurate records in Raiser’s Edge database, specifically by helping to manage all substantive contacts and next steps. • Identify and assist moves management efforts to increase average major gift amount. • Using reports created by the Database and Grants Administrator, perform the tasks necessary to fulfill donor card orders. Transcribe and fulfill offline orders from veterinarians. • Add new constituent records to the database as needed; accurately populate all appropriate data fields. • Answer phone calls. • Organize, coordinate and maintain the integrity of hard copy filing system. • Potential to schedule donor meetings, travel coordination, and calendar management. • Prepare meeting materials and agendas. • Prepare and send article summaries and research reports. • Create process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness and identify strategies to enhance donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship efforts. • Complete a variety of other special projects including data reports, PowerPoint presentations, financial spreadsheets, and other special documents. POSITION ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. • Experience working with a donor database for gift entry and updating donor records. Raiser’s Edge experience strongly preferred. • Must have high-level of attention to detail. • Results-oriented. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. • Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently. • Strong customer service experience. • Ability to work with all departments in the Foundation to ensure mission is achieved. • A proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. • Ability to represent the Foundation and its mission accurately and effectively. • A passion for animals and the Foundation’s mission.
